The Magnolia at Frewsburg Memory Care February Look Back
February was a great month full of sweets and fun in our Magnolia Memory Care Household!
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we had plenty of time to plan accordingly and celebrate the days leading up. Our baking group, which gets together on Monday afternoons – made several delicious desserts that didn’t last too long on our plates! Heart shaped strawberry and cream cheese pastries, strawberry milkshake cookies, double fudge brownies and fun-fetti cookies were on the menu this month. Our milkshake cookies were a huge hit between residents and staff, we’re still talking about it!
Our craft club got together and made fluffy no-sew heart pillows as a fun decoration for our rooms. For Mardi Gras, we made our own Carnival masks just in time for our party that day. We enjoyed festive cinnamon rolls (which was our version of the famous king cake). Our folks were blown away on Valentine’s Day when we were served “Cupid Floats” of cherry soda and vanilla ice cream. It was delicious!!
We looked forward to getting to the gym each week, playing bingo and bowling – which always seems to be a fan favorite across the board. With the promise of spring around the corner, (March 20th to be exact) we are eager to get outside and enjoy the fresh air as soon as we can!
We are now open for limited visitation by appointment! If you would like to schedule a day and time to meet with your friend or loved one, please contact reception at (716) 569-3095. We hope to see you soon!
