A visit from the Happy Grams Choir marked the beginning of the Christmas season at Comfort Today. Although it was a sunny, warm day, we had a wonderful time hosting the choir, and singing familiar Christmas carols with our friends from MCH.
The Happy Grams Choir was just the prelude to the performance we had by the JHS Madrigal Choir. Frewsburg Rest Home and Memory Garden joined Comfort Today as we were amazed by the talent these high school students displayed. The choir’s director told us that it was their goal to make us feel the Christmas spirit, and they certainly accomplished that! A big thank you to the choir for making our season a little brighter!
We always enjoy coffeehouse at Tanglewood, but it was a special treat when Starbucks came with their coffee, and homemade cookies.
We read Christmas stories by the fireplace, did a Christmas craft, and had snacks with our preschool friends from Zion Covenant Church. That same day, one of our friends that live in the cottage hosted a Christmas Tea. We had a festive Christmas buffet, and played some fun Christmas games.
Comfort Today celebrated Christmas on the Friday prior. We had a Christmas luncheon at Sakura Buffet. Our members especially enjoyed going there because the buffet offered such a large variety of food choices. As soon as we returned, we were surprised by a visit from Santa Claus. We ended the day with Christmas Song Bingo, and cookies.
We had so much fun this Christmas season, and look forward to what the New Year will bring!
