Comfort Today Look Back on March 2018

The month of March came in, and went out like a lion. Although we had some turbulent weather, Comfort Today managed to squeeze in some fun times.

We started the month off with an outing to Dean’s Restaurant for breakfast. We hadn’t taken a breakfast outing in the past, so it was a new experience for us. Deans offered large portions, and we were very surprised by some of our member’s appetites.

We hosted the Suzuki Strings. Their group consisted of some school age children, friends from Warner Place, and was directed by Nina Karbacka. Memory Garden and Frewsburg Rest Home joined in the fun, along with some parents, and friends from Warner Home.  We had a full house, and really enjoyed a great violin performance.  One of our members shared her recipe for homemade molasses cookies (which were a big hit).

We enjoyed an outing to watch Southwestern’s musical preview “Back to the 80’s”. The students did an amazing job.  The hi-light of the show was when they rolled a car out on the stage for one of their numbers. Our members knew some of the students in the musical, which made the experience extra-special.

We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with some pistachio ice cream, and green cupcakes. We played shamrock bean bag toss, and ended the day with learning what our leprechaun names were.

We ended the month with a lunch outing to Honest John’s buffet. We enjoyed a variety of good food, and were really excited, and surprised when we were served ice cream sundaes.

Now that spring is officially here, we are looking forward to some warmer weather, and outdoor events.

Comfort Today met up with the Easter Bunny on our most recent outing to the Chautauqua Mall!
