Memory Care Households August Look Back

What a busy month we’ve had here in the Memory Care Households!  Some major events that took place in the units were concerts by the Lake Erie Banjo Jammers, Saved by Grace, the Happy Days Band, Darren and Kristen, Dave Johnson, Angelo, Rick Bruening, and Old Dawgs Bluegrass.  Our final concert of the summer concert in the park series was shortened due to rain but everyone still had a great time this summer enjoying music from some local musicians!

 

 

 

This month, we were able again to use the golf carts for some fun rides around the Tanglewood grounds and spent many activities outside under the awning.  We loved going out for fresh lemonade and tea as well as bingo on the patio, bird watching, and some reading on the porch.  We also had a great time at the birthday party while we listened to Angelo take us back in time with his harmonica.  We had the monthly ladies tea party, two fishing tournaments, and picnic on the patio, and our arm chair travels group went to Germany!  This month was one for the books!  Practically every day was jam packed with fun filled events.  To say that we are lucky would be an understatement!  For the month of August, we celebrated two birthdays one being Daryl S. and one being Phyllis F. who turned 90!  We also started out the month by congratulating Tony M. on being our resident of the month! It is no wonder he was this months ROM considering, Tony participates in as many activities as he can and always has the biggest smile on his face!

 

Next month we are looking forward to hopefully squeezing in one more outing for ice cream before the weather gets too cold, and hopefully an afternoon outing for some site seeing around Chautauqua County.   We also can’t wait for painting with Jill, the monthly arm chair travels group, ladies tea party and the concerts to come! We can’t wait to share all the fun with you!
