Memory Care Household September Look Back

What a busy month we’ve had here in the Memory Care Households!  Some major events that took place in the units were concerts, parties, outings, and many other great events!  The bands that we heard from this month were the Kings Express, Golden Gems, Gabriella, Lucille Shurkus, Angelo, and Saved by Grace.  We always love getting to enjoy the local talent throughout the month.  In addition, we took an outing to the coffee shop, Wired on Main, in Bemus Point, one of our last outings for ice cream and a fall drive to Erlandson Overview in Frewsburg.  The leaves are just starting to change color and that mixed with the cool breeze made for a lovely afternoon out of the house!  Just what we needed as the colder weather approaches.

        

We had two residents with birthdays this month which we celebrated with Tanglewood while Angelo played some music for us.  What a treat that was!  We also go to explore our artistic abilities with Jill during a painting class.  She showed us different ways you can use water colors and helped us travel back in time through our memories.  Our arm chair travel group went all the way to Scotland and boy did we love it there!  We watched a movie about Scotland and enjoyed traditional Scottish biscuits.  The baking group had three dishes to make this month including cupcakes, which we enjoyed at the Grandparents Day Social, brownies for the ladies tea party, and even a pizza to celebrate pepperoni pizza day!  Our bellies were full and happy.  Finally, we congratulated Alicia O. on being the resident of the month!

    

Next month we are looking forward to more concerts, outings, and good time with great friends.  As we welcome colder weather and more time indoors, you will have to check out our facebook page for the Halloween themed photo booth pictures and other great times!  We can’t wait to share all the fun with you!
