Memory Care Households November Look Back
What a busy month we’ve had here in the Memory Care Households! Some major events that took place in the units were concerts, parties, outings, and many other great events! The bands that we heard from this month were the Kings Express, Darren & Kristen, the Larsen Family, Michael Dennehy, The Golden Gems, Lucille Shurkus, Rick Bruening and Bumpy & Bart! We always love getting to enjoy the local talent throughout the month. Other than being jam packed with entertainment, we were also able to squeeze in two outings this month. The first outing we had was the last fall drive of the season. Fortunately we were able to see the leaves once last time before their final fall. Now our next drive will be to look at Christmas lights! Our second outing was to one of our favorite coffee shops, Crown Street Roasting Company. We always love enjoying their coffee and desserts.
On top of all that, we also had our bi-monthly painting with Jill class. She always does such a good job taking us back in time through our memories. We also went to Japan with this month’s arm chair travel group! Our baking class made some pumpkin pie and we had two craft groups to make Thanksgiving decorations! At our birthday party, where Angelo entertained us with jokes and music, we celebrated three Memory Care Household birthdays! Every day we feature a different wacky holiday and this month we had fast food Friday on the 16th. The residents got to enjoy McDonald’s to celebrate and what a treat that was! To finish off the month, we had some good old fashioned apple cider donuts from Ecklof’s Bakery in Jamestown as we congratulated Joan T. on being the resident of the month!
Next month we are looking forward to more concerts, outings to see Christmas lights, and good times with great friends. As we welcome colder weather and more time indoors, you will have to check out our Facebook page for the fall crafts we’ll be making, desserts well be baking, and much more! We can’t wait to share all the fun with you!
As always we extend our warmest welcome to all of you to come and join us for all the fun that we have planned for the month of December here in the Memory Care Households.
