Memory Garden February Look Back

 

February has been a month of great love, joy, and excitement. The residents enjoyed the super bowl party and played a few fun rounds of football toss. They enjoyed hotdogs, chips ,water and had a great time.  Some even watched the “Big Game” later on. We played many fun games such as giant kerplunk, ring toss, indoor Frisbee, bowling, funnel balloon, jingo, bingo, basketball, chair dancing and  indoor darts.

We decorated awesome Valentine’s cookies and celebrated Valentine’s Day with a festive party. Residents were also surprised with hearts filled with candy and absolutely loved them.  Some of the residents went on an outing to Davidson’s for breakfast and had a great time. We also enjoyed some Arby’s take out. We were stuffed!

We had some wonderful entertainment this month. We had music by Russ Keiser, Angelo Alaimo, and music with Lucille who plays the piano while they eat their cake and sing along. We had a new piano player Jeaneen Jaynes who the residents enjoyed. She enjoyed having the residents that made percussion and clapping section.  We ended the month with Cindy Sue, Ken Larson and family.

We had a wonderful tea party and got to wear our new fancy hats! They  look wonderful on the ladies! We enjoyed some wonderful tea sandwiches and cheesecake! The residents  really enjoyed it.  We did an exciting trip to France where we enjoyed some French cookies. They were out of this world. The residents really enjoyed themselves.

We had a great February. We are looking forward to March because of the beautiful spring weather and all sorts of fun things.
