Memory Care Household April Look Back

We have had  a really exciting April. The residents have finally been able to go outside for some great walks. Although we have had some rain, it hasn’t stopped us from enjoying the flowers and beautiful fresh air.

Residents at Memory Card Household have been entertained by many great singers. We started with music by Russ Keiser, the Larson family which everyone really enjoys. King’s Express and then we were entertained by the wonderful Davis and Eng. We were lucky to have Saved by Grace join us, as they performed a beautiful Easter program. The residents and everyone could feel the spirit. It was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed country performer, Michael Dennehy, as well as the Blue Grass talents, Bart and Bumpy. All in all, the residents had a marvelous time. We have our favorite accordion player, who plays for our coffee house on Tuesday mornings, Don Sandy. The residents love to dance, clap and sing -a-long. It is a wonderful time.

We sure do love to make in the Memory Care Households. We started with making a spring cake with many awesome colors. The residents really enjoyed it. We then made some great Easter egg sugar cookies which the residents decorated and enjoyed eating them. We colored Easter eggs so we could eat them on Easter Sunday. For our Ladies Tea Party we enjoyed making some special sundae’s. YUM! The resident just love having choices. We also tried our hand at making Easter candy . It was delicious!

Some of our residents enjoyed making some flowers out of cupcake holders to put on each resident’s door. It was so creative and got us into the Spring spirit! We played ladder ball, go fish, giant kerplunk, go fish, and sorry. We have had a lot of exciting things going on this month. Especially celebrating Easter. The month flew by and we made a lot of great crafts.

We are all looking forward to May and starting our Summer Band Series with the kickoff  the Memorial Day Picnic. We are planning some awesome things for May. The best thing is we are hoping the weather co-operates with us so we can be outside for some activities. Let’s have a great May!! It will be an awesome month.
