Tanglewood Manor April Look Back

What a busy month we’ve had here at Tanglewood!  We were able to welcome the start of warm weather to western New York!  A few of us even got outside for a walk or two!  Some major events that took place were our concerts which consisted of Russ Keiser, the Larson Family, Kings Express, Davis & Eng, Saved by Grace, Bart & Bumpy, and Michael Dennehy. A month full of great artists and we haven’t even reached the concert series yet! We are in for a real treat once summer hits!

While we were able to enjoy a few activities outside, the rain still swept up most of the month.  But as the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers so we are looking forward to a plethora of flowers!

We kicked off the month on a sweet note by making smoothies during our baking group.  They were delicious!  We also had a painting class with Jill, our monthly tea party, and some spring themed crafts.  We also decorated eggs for Easter, had an egg hunt, had an Easter photo booth, played poke a bunny and got to listen to an Easter cantata.

We topped off the month by traveling to the holy city of Jerusalem.  We got to watch a documentary on a few various spots around Jerusalem and enjoying some matzo.

Next month promises a great time as we look forward to opening up the park with our Memorial Day picnic!  As the weather continues to get warmer, it only makes sense that we would take a trip to Big Tree not only look at the beautiful Chautauqua Lake, but also enjoy a nice ice cream cone.  We will also begin our golf cart rides around the Tanglewood Grounds to enjoy some wonderful scenery. May also brings Mother’s Day so we will be celebrating by having a Mother’s Day Brunch.  All are invited to attend!
