Comfort Today March look back
What a great month of March we have had!
Our members have been busy painting shamrocks to get ready for March, and St. Patrick’s Day!
We celebrated National Oreo Day by learning the history of the Oreo cookie, and trying a new recipe for “Oreo Rice Krispies Treats”. The recipe got a thumbs up!
Our folks had a great time enjoying popcorn, and watching the “Call of the Wild” (at Cinema 8 Theater). There is nothing that compares to watching a great movie, and movie theater popcorn!
March was National Music in the Schools Month, and we always look forward to our annual outing to Southwestern school to preview their musical. This year it was “All Shook Up” which was a musical tribute to Elvis Presley. We really enjoyed ourselves, so much so that one of our members was singing “Can Stop Loving You” right along with the lead cast member that was playing Elvis.
Our members celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by learning the history behind St. Patrick (as we played a fun pass the present game), learning our leprechaun names (like Tricksy McNaughty), and enjoyed our green shamrock shakes to end a fun-filled day.
We want to extend an Irish blessing to everyone, and wish that your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow.
Everyone is excited for the warmer days, and sunshine that will be coming soon! If you have any questions or comments about any upcoming activities, please contact Roxanne Vanstrom at (716)338-0500, or email at RVanstrom@tanglewoodmanor.com.
