About Tanglewood

Tanglewood Manor opened its doors in 1984 under the leadership of the late Louis Ferreri. In the early days, the original building had room for 100 residents. Today, the facilities are licensed for 295 beds, making room for plenty of residents to call the Tanglewood Group facilities ‘home.’

In the late 1980s, Nicholas Ferreri joined his father in the business. When Louis was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease (and since his subsequent death), Nicholas has continued in his father’s footsteps of providing exceptional care to the elderly and aging. The Ferreri family continues to operate the Tanglewood Group as a place where seniors can age with grace and dignity.

The Tanglewood Group consists of six entities, each providing their own specialty care for residents. From assisted living to memory care, respite services, and beyond, Tanglewood has the expertise and experience to assist just about any need.

For over 30 years, Tanglewood has continued to encompass the traditional values inspired by founder Louis Ferreri: respect for one another, concern for each resident’s well-being, encouragement of individual interests, and enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures.

At the Tanglewood Group, we are more than assisted living—we are a community of residents and staff that bond together as a family. Our mission is to foster warm interactions and relationships between interdisciplinary staff and residents while enhancing the quality of life for each unique individual. We promise to uphold this commitment for every resident at every stage of their stay, including time during and after the process of spending down to qualify for Medicaid.

Attention paid to residents is kind and patient and always in line with our best in class standards. We understand how important it is that residents always have someone to get coffee or dinner with and strive to foster an environment that’s vibrant and social. By maintaining a youthful state of mind and filling every day with purposeful activity, community and love, we help seniors make their next step a meaningful, productive and spirited time in their lives.

No matter how beautiful the setting or how accommodating a facility is, it’s the staff members that make the difference. Steeped in the traditional values established by founder Louis Ferreri, our in-house staff is a team of dedicated individuals driven to meet the needs of our residents on a daily basis. We encourage everyone to visit Tanglewood firsthand to see the staff and witness their kind, caring, and committed interactions with those who call our facilities home.

In addition to daily caregivers and staff, a primary care physician, a podiatrist, as well as speech, occupational, and physical therapists are on-call and ready to provide comprehensive services. Our circle of specialists also includes beauticians and a dietician to keep residents looking and feeling like their best selves.

Aides caring for residents are Certified Personal Care Aides or Certified Home Health Aides. Tanglewood Group is proud to offer the services of an entire team of individuals who prioritize the needs and desires of our resident population.
